Nate was born April 16, 1985, in the California city of Stockton in the family of a Mexican and an ethnic Englishwoman. Father Robert Diaz left the family when Nate went to school. Concerns on raising three children – brothers Nick, Nate and sister Nina – fell on the shoulders of mother Melissa Brown. The woman had to get a job in several places to feed the household.
