According to Ludacris, playing has never been his role in mind because his main objective has always been music from the start. However, he describes his entry into Hollywood and his current relevance in the movies as nothing less than luck. It’s not news that the very first Fast and Furious movie, released in 2001, starred the sensational hip-hop rapper “Ja-Rule”. After the film’s slight success, Ja-Rule received a series of calls from the film’s producers with a new contract for a second film. The new offer involved an increased payment from $ 12,000 to $ 500,000. However, Ja-Rule rarely answered calls or simply had excuses such as busy schedules or tour dates.
In 2003, after efforts to reach Ja-Rule for a second film that failed, the producer decided to contact another successful rap artist, Ludacris. When Ludacris was contacted, he was very happy to play this role. Today, long after his rap game has shrunk, Ludacris, however, is still very successful, as the Fast and Furious franchise is currently heading for its 9th edition. Other successful films he has screened include Crash, Hustle & Flow, (both in 2005). In addition, he starred in critically acclaimed holiday comedies such as Fred Claus (2007) and New Year’s Eve (2011).
His work as an actor did not go unnoticed either, as he received accolades such as the Critic’s Choice Awards, MTV and Screen Actors Guild.

Before marrying Eudoxie, Ludacris was already the father of two beautiful daughters from previous relationships with different women. Their names are Karma Bridges and Cai Bella Bridges.
